The Trauercafé (mourning café) is a space for conversation where people come together to grieve, share memories and talk about farewells, be it a death, an illness, the end of a love relationship or a friendship. It is led by Jordis Fellmann, a certified celebrant for funerals and art mediator, together with Cynthia Gavranic, art mediator and art therapist. The occasion is two exhibitions shown at the same time, whose themes – interpersonal resonance, role models and resilience – are discussed on a joint tour. Afterwards there is a conversation over coffee and cake in the studio, the trying out of rituals, and shaping one's own feelings with materials, paper and colours; the offer is in German and English and aimed at people aged 16 and over.
