"Viel Zündstoff an der Urne" is a discussion event under the title "Vor der Abstimmung" about two federal Swiss ballots of 29 November 2026. It is put on by the Paulus Akademie, moderated by Sebastian Muders and Csongor Kozma, with guests Gilberto Pasinelli of the Swiss Ornithological Institute and Georg Häsler of the Neue Zürcher Zeitung. It concerns the popular initiative "Für eine Einschränkung von Feuerwerk", which calls for a ban on selling loud fireworks to protect people, animals and the environment, and the amendment of the War Material Act, which would loosen exports of military goods to 25 selected states. A factual, interdisciplinary exchange is meant to give attendees a good basis for an informed vote.
