The film shows how rising land prices, replacement construction and vacancy terminations in Zurich are driving the mass displacement of long-term tenants. At its centre is marketing consultant Julia Schramm, who loses her home along with hundreds of neighbours in Altstetten because their housing estate is to be demolished. The screening is part of the Films for Future Festival, which from 1 to 30 November 2026 presents over 100 feature and documentary films in Zurich, followed by panel discussions. There, audiences exchange ideas with filmmakers, activists and other high-calibre panellists about a liveable future.
