Giselle

Staatsballett Berlin performs the Romantic ballet "Giselle", the story of a peasant girl who dies of a broken heart after being betrayed by a nobleman and joins the vengeful spirits called Wilis. Patrice Bart's version, which stays close to the original Coralli/Perrot choreography and uses Peter Farmer's sets, premiered in 2000 at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden; this performance is listed as sold out.
