Worum es geht
A one-hour guided walk around the Zitadelle Spandau, a Renaissance fortress in western Berlin, on its use by the Wehrmacht. From 1935 to 1945 the Army Gas Protection Laboratories here developed gas-protection equipment and researched nerve agents such as Tabun, Sarin and Soman for military use. The tour covers this little-visible, little-researched chapter and how the buildings were used. Meeting point is the Torhaus (gatehouse); the guide fee is €4.50 plus admission, and the page gives the tour in German.
