A joint festive service marking the Reformation takes place at the town church of Köpenick on the first weekend of November. The Protestant town church congregation of Köpenick invites everyone and recalls the bold new beginning over 500 years ago, when Martin Luther's theses changed church and world. At the centre stands the liberating message of the Gospel: people are loved unconditionally by God, through grace and faith alone. The service is celebrated with Holy Communion, and a children's service runs in parallel.
