Alberto Giacometti: sculpture, painting, works on paper.

Gutshaus Steglitz presents the exhibition 'Giacometti. Figur. Raum' with sculpture, painting and works on paper from the Klewan Collection. Curated by Brigitte Hausmann of the Cultural Affairs Department of Steglitz-Zehlendorf, it is devoted to the Swiss artist Alberto Giacometti (1901–1966), one of the most important artists of the twentieth century. At its centre are four bronzes – Petit buste sur double socle, Femme debout, La Cage (première version) and Tête de Diego – accompanied by paintings and works on paper exploring figure and space. The show makes tangible Giacometti's engagement with his elongated, fragile figures and with scale, distance and sense perception.
