"Almost Asians - Standup Comedy Hour" is an English-language stand-up comedy show at the Misirlou Bar. Behind it are the two Berlin-based comedians Abi and Nikita. Abi, born in India and a former software engineer, uses satire and raw honesty to shed light on religious dogma and the psychological scars of a restrictive upbringing; she won the King Gong at the Comedy Store in London and has opened for comedians including Adrienne Iapalucci. Nikita, a Siberian comedian and regular in Berlin's English and Russian comedy scene, blends clever observations with an unfiltered perspective and recently won the Big Belly gong in London.
