Amigues Adios

"Amigues Adios" is a theatre piece by Bishop Black at Ballhaus Naunynstraße. In it, five performers go in search of Berlin's promise and of the freedom of being together beyond the conservative boundaries of sexual identity and racial identity. They remember the Black queer Berliners who once had the courage to make the city a promise, and seek ways to keep community and freedom alive. In a surreal and burlesque dance through the times they come together to find the strength to carry on, celebrating to taste fearlessness and self-determination again.
