About
A Bach cantata service featuring the cantata "Ach wie flüchtig, ach wie nichtig" (BWV 26) by Johann Sebastian Bach at the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche. Performers include Marie Luise Werneburg (soprano), Mareike Zorko (alto), Patrick Grahl (tenor), Bruno Meichsner (bass), the Bach Choir and the Bach Collegium under the direction of Achim Zimmermann, with Peter Uehling at the organ. The service is part of a liturgically faithful, cyclical performance of Bach's complete sacred cantata oeuvre, held every two weeks and experienced in only a few places in the world. The address is given by Christina Rietz of DIE ZEIT, and the liturgy is led by retired dean Anne-Kathrin Kruse.
