About
Batida Baile is a night of live, hybrid and DJ sets of global dance and club music, connecting journeys of sound between Abya Yala, the Caribbean and Africa. Behind the event are several international artists making their Berlin debut: Lua Preta, a Polish-Angolan duo of vocalist and MC Ms. Gia and producer Mentalcut, bring a frenetic mixture of futuristic electronic music and African genres. They are joined by Seattle duo Lucha Luna mixing latin percussion, heavy bass and punk vocals, Catu Diosis with her afro-inspired bass music, Berlin-based Cajoux from Mozambique, and Maldita Vaina with high-energy Caribbean Club sounds. Dancing is inevitable.
