During the Chenrezig Intensivtag, participants jointly practice Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of compassion, together with the recitation of the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum. The practice aims to help open one's own heart to all beings and to cultivate an altruistic attitude that strengthens everyday mindfulness and keeps one from harming others. The day is led by Geshe R. Gyaltsen at the Tibetisch-Buddhistisches Zentrum Berlin e.V. (Tendar Chöling), a meditation and study center. Everyone is warmly invited to take part, including those who have not received an empowerment.
