About
"Däumelinchens Abenteuer" (Thumbelina's Adventures) is a colour-shadow puppet play based on Hans Christian Andersen, aimed at audiences from about three and a half years up. It was created by Thomas Mierau, who also performs it himself at Theater Mirakulum. Thumbelina, born in a blossom, travels through the wide world, meeting the toad, cheerful fish, a dancing butterfly, a cockchafer and a helpful field mouse, before the swallow carries her to the flower land where a prince awaits. It is a sensitive, poetic story with a social background and the magic of a literary fairy tale.
