New noise protection rules in the BauGB: talk.

A specialist lecture on the new noise protection provisions in the German Federal Building Code (BauGB), aimed at those interested in planning and administrative practice. It is organised by the VDI Berlin-Brandenburg district association together with its working groups on acoustics/noise protection/vibration technology, structural engineering and environmental engineering; the speaker is Nicolas Artmann, LL.B. It covers the changes brought by the Act on Accelerating Housing Construction of 30 October 2025, including the first explicit permission to deviate from the TA Lärm noise standard and the so-called indoor level solution for protection against commercial noise. The lecture offers a practice-oriented overview of the legal requirements and technical-planning design of these new rules for housing projects in inner-city areas affected by noise.
