About

The Hexenberg Ensemble opens the fairytale season with a double premiere at the Pfefferberg Theater. 'Der Tannenbaum' tells H.C. Andersen's story of a tree that longs for the future and thereby misses the present. 'Das Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern' is a retelling of Andersen's winter tale about a girl who, on New Year's Eve, lights her matches and, with each light, opens a door behind which she encounters herself, her mother and her father. The cast includes Torsten Schnier, Tobias Schulze, Ina Gercke and Katrin Schwingel; admission is from age 14.
