„Der Tod: Geisterstunde" is a too-late-night show in which, for 60 minutes, everything revolves around death and dying. It is hosted by DER TOD, Germany's most beloved grim reaper, who comments on and discusses current topics, shows recent graveyard photos and invites special people for a chat. The one condition for each talk guest is that they live off death, so cemetery workers, crime-scene cleaners, criminal biologists or morticians present their profession on the sofa of death. Past guests include criminal biologist Dr. Mark Benecke, undertaker and cult author Eric Wrede and crime-scene cleaner Claudia Crampton – dead serious and dying of laughter side by side.
