About
"Die Rückkehr der Späti-Ritter" is a cabaret revue at the Kabarett-Theater DISTEL in Berlin. It was written by Michael Frowin and Philipp Schaller, directed by Lilian Laeticia Haack, and features songs by Annamateur, Michael Krebs, Axel Pätz and others, performed by the theatre's ensemble. The satire is set in Wolle's late-night kiosk in the middle of Berlin's government quarter, where in 2026 a motley crowd – from stubborn pensioners to a professor fighting for an analogue life – comes to the capital to demonstrate against rather than with each other. Even an oddball named Friedrich Merz drops by to demand Wolle work a night shift although his kiosk is already open around the clock – the whole country's panopticon in one small kiosk, with a running time of about 2 hours 15 minutes including one intermission.
