Digitale Transformation - Chancen nutzen und Herausforderungen meistern

An online talk on digital transformation in industry. It is hosted by the regional group Karlsruhe-Pforzheim-Gaggenau of the German Society for Quality, with Paul Thieme, a research associate and project manager at Fraunhofer IPA, as the speaker. He presents current figures on the challenges facing Germany's mid-sized companies internationally, examines the opportunities of digitising workflows in production and shows, through a running example, how a digitisation project should be carried out and which stumbling blocks can be avoided, including an example of AI-based image-processing inspection that clearly reduced inspection times. The presentation closes with an insight into Fraunhofer IPA's brand-new New Lean study on how a future-proof industry in Germany must be positioned and which four fields of action will come into focus.
