Bike marking: police tag your bike to deter thieves.

At this event, the Berlin police (Direktion 1, Abschnitt 16) mark bicycles and bike trailers with an individual marking to protect them against theft. With the owner's consent, the details of the bike are stored together with personal data in a police register, so that lost or stolen bikes can be better identified. A marked bike is far less attractive to thieves. Please bring your ID card or passport; minors come accompanied by their guardians or with written parental consent.
