About
„GemEinsam“ is a circus production by the youth group of CABUWAZI Tempelhof, presented at the Freedom of Movement Festival 2026. Eighteen young performers aged 13 to 21, directed by Jeele Johannsen, present personal acrobatic images of freedom, caught between the desire for self-determination and the need for community. The piece deals with closeness and distance, acceptance and exclusion, and features disciplines such as the Chinese pole, straps, vertical cloth, aerial ring and contortion. The solo and group numbers portray both a positive feeling of freedom and the hurdles young people face, such as being patronised, peer pressure and rejection.
