„Genossen! Stillgestanden!“ is a comedy show that marches tongue-in-cheek through the “good old days”, with dry humour and a good dose of East nostalgia. It is led by the character Hauptwachtmeister Wichtig, the allegedly last surviving district officer of the German Democratic Mountain Republic, under the motto “Vorwärts immer – Rückwärts nimmer!”The show moves through quirky memories, absurd rules and the big and small quirks of everyday life in the GDR, and even the former head of state gets to speak his mind. Bockwurst and potato salad can be booked optionally and are not included in the ticket price.
