About

Spill Your Guts: Waiting Room Visions is a darkly humorous ventriloquist show about an intestine that runs amok. Performance and action artist Hendrik Quast, who learned ventriloquism for this project, appears on stage with a sharp-tongued puppet embodying his chronic, invisible bowel disease. Using theatre, comedy and musical elements, he argues with it about shame, the health system and who gets to interpret the sick body. The English-language piece combines crip comedy, personification and theatre from a disability arts perspective on hidden disabilities.
