Herz an Herz - Ein Abend über Liebe

"Herz an Herz - Ein Abend über Liebe" is a musical-poetic diploma production at HfS Ernst Busch that looks behind the façade of romantic pop songs. It was created by Paula Sophie Engel, who performs together with her self-built puppet and a pianist, with a text by Anna Dieren and Paula Sophie Engel and direction by Elisa Ludwig. The performers dissect supposedly romantic songs in search of true love, while their thoughts drift to bright yellow trams, bees, hydrangeas and one's own racing heartbeat. The music and Nguyen Binh Vu on piano promise catchy tunes, bittersweet memories and the hope of not standing alone in the rain in the end.
