The event is a public discussion titled „Altersfreundlicher Kiez“ about a good life and participation in the neighborhood. Dr. Michael Weinhardt invites people to talk about the newly passed Berlin elderly care structure law and the current redesign of Platz der Luftbrücke. The discussion asks which structural and social measures can promote self-determined, worthwhile aging in the neighborhood and what opportunities arise for the future development of the district. The organizer is the Deutsches Zentrum für Altersfragen (DZA), a federal research institute, as part of the format „Wissen zwischen Büchern“, which brings research into Berlin's public libraries.
