Iron Boy: hand-drawn animation by Louis Clichy.

IRON BOY (Le Corset) is a hand-drawn animated film about eleven-year-old Christophe, who wears a medical back brace and grows up on his family's farm in rural France. It was directed by Louis Clichy, who himself wore a brace as a child and is known for his work on WALL-E, UP and ASTERIX – IM LAND DER GÖTTER. Instead of helping with the harvest, Christophe serves at mass in the village church, where he discovers his love of the organ and, with the help of the rebellious teenager Clara, finds his inner and outer balance. The film won the Jury Special Prize in the “Un Certain Regard” section at the Cannes Film Festival and took home three awards at the Annecy animation festival.
