Kido and ceremony commemorating the deceased.

The Zen Zentrum Berlin invites participants to a kido and a ceremony in which, instead of the regular evening practice, the deceased are commemorated that evening. The event is held by the Kwan Um Zen Schule Deutschland. Those attending may bring a photo of the deceased for the altar as well as altar offerings such as flowers or food like fruit and pastries. After the ceremony, the food offerings will be shared together in a cosy gathering in the kitchen.
