Literarisches Whisky-Tasting
Bett & Buch Hotel, Rudower Straße 1 12557
65,00 Euro
About
A convivial evening combining whisky and literature: six whiskies from four countries are tasted while stories from the world of authors such as Charles Bukowski, Graham Greene, James Joyce, Haruki Murakami, Jo Nesbø and Frank Schätzing are told. Behind the evening are Jürgen Diessl, who has worked in the book trade for 30 years and draws the connection between whisky, authors and their works, and whisky expert Tanja Bempreiksz, who enriches the evening with vivid insights into the world of distilleries. The stage for the evening is the Hotel „Bett und Buch“ in Köpenick, a house full of history – once a pub, then a public library, then a ruin and now a lovingly renovated hotel and café. Its individually designed rooms are each dedicated to an author and also house the old treasures of the former library.
