A public guided visit through the permanent exhibition "Tränenpalast. Ort der deutschen Teilung". The Haus der Geschichte Foundation offers it on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. The exhibition in the former departure hall at the Friedrichstraße border crossing shows, using biographical examples and original objects, how the division of Germany affected people's lives. The visit leads to the main themes and historical traces, such as flight and emigration from the GDR and the travellers' experiences at processing.
