About
The Capital Sailing Cup is a sailing regatta in which twelve clubs compete against each other on Tempest boats. The event is organised by Verein Seglerhaus am Wannsee and revives the tradition of the legendary Berlin Match Race, which drew the international match-race elite to the capital until 2013. Through preliminary and main rounds in fleet racing, the course leads to a final where the two best clubs face off in a direct match race for the win. Each club enters two double-handed teams, each round comprises three races with increasing weighting, and both crews must be deployed.
