A requiem, a solemn mass for a deceased priest, is celebrated in St. Hedwig's Cathedral. It is held for the emeritus cathedral chapter member and prelate Roland Steinke, who died on 18 October 2026 at the age of 90. The Archdiocese of Berlin is behind the service; cathedral provost Tobias Przytarski and vicar general Father Manfred Kollig SSCC pay tribute to the departed, who served for decades as, among other things, vicar general and Caritas director. Afterwards, the burial takes place at 2.00 pm at St. Hedwig's Cathedral Cemetery in Berlin-Reinickendorf.
