Schreibwerkstatt

The Schreibwerkstatt (writing workshop) is a free creative offer for families in the museum lab of the Ephraim-Palais in the Nikolaiviertel. It is run by the Berlin Museum, whose educators give insights into historical and modern writing techniques. Participants try out wax tablets, quills with ink on paper or graphite pencils on slates and create their own texts in different ways, as people did 120 years ago, from first letters to small calligraphy artworks. The workshop is aimed at children who can already write a little.
