Shearwater and Loma: two Sub Pop bands from Austin.

A concert evening with two bands at Privatclub in Berlin-Kreuzberg. Shearwater and Loma share the songwriter Jonathan Meiburg and the sound engineer and producer Dan Duszynski, both come from Austin, Texas and both are released by the Seattle label Sub Pop. Each band also has a third member named Emily: Emily Lee in Shearwater, Emily Cross in Loma, whose calm, enveloping voice is the heart of Loma. While Loma remains rather introverted with their hypnotic albums up to „How Will I Live Without A Body?“ (2023), Shearwater shows its extroverted side on „The New World“ (2026).
