Stadtteilmütter
Kinder- und Jugendbereich im Olof-Palme-Zentrum, Demminer Straße 28, 13355 Berlin
About
Stadtteilmütter is an open drop-in advice service for women and girls at the Olof-Palme neighbourhood centre, held on Wednesday mornings in the foyer. Behind it are Serap and Nissrine, experienced and qualified contacts who wear red scarves and advise in Turkish, Arabic, English and German, and on request in further languages. Topics include social, pregnancy, migration, legal and tenancy advice as well as recognition of foreign qualifications; the Stadtteilmütter also accompany people to advice centres, authorities and other institutions and share information about what is on offer in the neighbourhood.
