Suchspiel - Ägypten ganz nah – folge dem Skarabäus
Museumsinsel, Berlin, Mitte
Free (the game is free; adults pay museum admission, under-18s enter free)
About
A search game through the Egyptian Museum in which young and old explorers track down the artworks and their secrets. Members of the Verein zur Förderung des Ägyptischen Museums Berlin e.V. invite visitors to join in; the hunt is accompanied by the scarab Scheri, who tells his friend, the tourist Paul, all about ancient Egypt. The game is available in German and English for two age groups (6–13 and from 14 plus adults) and is handed out at the ticket desk/info point of the Neues Museum. At the end, a small prize awaits each participant, to be dug out of the desert sand; no registration is needed.
