About
“WILD HORSE NINE” is a thriller by director and screenwriter Martin McDonagh starring Sam Rockwell, John Malkovich and Steve Buscemi. Shortly before Chile's 1973 military coup, the two CIA agents Chris and Lee are reassigned by their superior MJ to a remote Easter Island. What looks like a quiet posting far from the political unrest soon turns into a complicated mission full of international conspiracies and personal conflicts. When Chris meets two rebellious students, the situation escalates even further.

Critics
Critics praise the electric performances, especially Malkovich, and the sharp rhythm of the screenplay. They fault excessive violence and strained machismo that dilute the comedy and charm.
