About

A low-threshold workshop playfully introduces participants to the world of 3D printing: without any prior knowledge, they design their first ideas on a computer or iPad and learn how three-dimensional objects are created from them. The event is hosted by the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf public library and accompanied by designer Jule Blumenthal, who leads the DesignLab in the research cluster Matters of Activity. Modelling, trying things out and building by hand show vividly how 3D printing is already used in science and society. Those who wish can take a printed object of their own home.
