1 in 2 + Q&A: documentary on young-onset bowel cancer.

A screening of the documentary "1 in 2" followed by a Q&A. Director David Nicholas Wilkinson follows his own treatment for stage 4 bowel cancer, discovered in 2024 after a FIT test had come back clear because his tumour never bled. The film looks at a steep rise in bowel cancer among people too young to be screened and often not believed, and tries to flag up early signs of a disease that often strikes with few or no symptoms. A significant percentage of the box office income goes directly to Maggie's St Barts, and the screening is a tribute to bowel surgeon Lisa Andrews-Dhapra, who died of bowel cancer in May aged just 50.
