About
Toad is a family performance staged as part of Rose Bruford College's Autumn Season, an adaptation for the Festive Season of Kenneth Grahame's beloved The Wind in the Willows. It was adapted by Dan Okello Bird and developed for the college's Actor Musicians, with joyous songs and live music performed on stage as part of the action. Toad is a creature of extravagant crazes whose rocket-fuelled go-kart journey into the Wild Wood, where the jealous trio of Weasel, Ferret and Stoat are determined to bring him down, puts his life in danger, and his friends Rat, Badger and Mole resort to drastic measures to control him. It is performed by BA Acting and Actor Musicianship students and runs approximately two hours.
