About

Big Ben Tour is a fully guided tour that climbs the narrow 334-step spiral stairwell of the Elizabeth Tower to the Belfry where the world-famous Big Ben bell hangs. The tour is run by the UK Parliament and shows visitors, up close, how the famous bell works. Along the way, you stop in exhibition spaces that use AV technology to tell the story of Big Ben and the Elizabeth Tower, see the inner workings of the clock mechanism, and stand next to the bell as it strikes the hour. The visit lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes, is offered in English only, and is for visitors aged 11 and over who are comfortable climbing 334 steps and loud noise.
