Bouffon workshop: mocking and madness with Eric Davis.

A physical bouffon workshop where participants learn the mocking, ecstatic art of the Bouffon through ensemble play, chorus work and finding the fun in mocking. It is led by Eric Davis, an award-winning performer, director and Cirque du Soleil clown whose acclaimed bouffon Red Bastard was named a top five show at the Edinburgh Fringe. The first part of the workshop focuses on the role of 'The Player', exploring the attitude and drives of the Bouffon. It suits actors, clowns, comedians, improvisers, dancers and devisors, and is very physical, so participants should bring clothes to move in, water and a snack.
