By Any Means virtual challenge 2026

By Any Means is a virtual movement challenge run throughout October, in which you complete a distance of 30km, 65km or more by walking, wheeling, running, swimming, cycling or any other way you choose, at your own pace. It is organised by Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF UK), and the distances are inspired by the real journeys MSF staff make to reach patients in some of the world's most challenging environments. You can take part alone or in a team, wherever you are, and track your progress with a printable tracker or a fitness app. There is no charge to take part; everyone is asked to raise at least £150, with an MSF t-shirt at £75 and a medal at £150.
