Dead [Women] Poets Séance: Sophie Herxheimer & Clare Pollard resurrect Amy Levy & Christina Rossetti

An evening séance at The London Library in which two living poets conjure the spirits of their literary foremothers, the Victorian poets Amy Levy and Christina Rossetti. Poet-mediums Sophie Herxheimer and Clare Pollard will commune with the spirits of these subversive, darkly imaginative outsider poets, sharing their lives, works and influence, with readings haunted by their ghosts and compered by poet Helen Bowell of Dead [Women] Poets Society. The group, who since 2015 have been resurrecting women and non-binary poets of the past, will continue the resurrections with an open mic where poets and performers of all and no genders may take the stage; for every poem of your own, you should also read one by a dead woman or non-binary poet. Books by the guest poets, dead poets and D[W]PS merch will be available.
