Dissecting Aerial Symposium: The Practical One (Studio 4)

Dissecting Aerial Symposium: The Practical One (Studio 4) is a guest event at Jacksons Lane bringing together aerial artists and teachers for talks and hands-on sessions. Aerial rope artist and teacher Alex Allan, trained at the San Francisco Circus Center, gives a talk called 'The Theory of Beats' on the foundational beats and pathways for confident, dynamic movement on vertical apparatus. Irish aerialist and hoop specialist Aisling Ni Cheallaigh leads 'The Art of Spinning: Spin-poseium', exploring the physics and body mechanics of spinning on hoop, alongside their experience as a new mother and how it changed their relationship with the hoop. A refreshment break takes place in the Jacksons Lane café.
