About

EMOM is an electronic music open mic night held on the first Wednesday of the month at the Dublin Castle, with slots of 10 to 20 minutes for electronic musicians. It is hosted by Laurie Black, an electronic music enthusiast and synth player described as a 'lovechild of Victoria Wood and Gary Numan', who has toured worldwide with her synth-history show Deadly Synths and with Adam Ant and Professor Elemental. Performers can pre-book a slot or arrive at 6:30pm with minimal set up, and the only rule is no acoustic guitars unless generating electronic soundscapes. The night, part of 'Bad Luck Synth Club', also features Robin Vincent and DJs plus a curated headline slot to be announced.
