About
GeoFutures 2026: Critical Minerals is a conference on 21st-century geoscience, this year devoted to critical minerals as a crucial element of the Energy Transition. It is organised by the Geological Society of London and convenors including Kathryn Goodenough, Nick Gardiner, Sarah Gordon, Karen Hudson-Edwards, Libby Sharman and Sarah A. Gleeson. The meeting brings together those working along the critical minerals value chain to discuss new approaches for developing global supply over the coming decade, covering themes such as exploration, geometallurgy, the circular economy, ESG and supply chain mapping. It also features a student poster competition, sponsored by the Mineral Deposits Studies Group.
