Halloween: Jesus & The Zealots + Magick Ritual + Knuckle Draggers
Paper Dress Vintage, 352a Mare Street, E8 1HR London
About
A Halloween night of goth, doom and psych rock at Paper Dress Vintage, billed as a mad, spooky party with nothing but nightmarish goodness, followed by a Weird Disco club night until 3am. Jesus & The Zealots play moody gothic rock with heavy synths and distorted guitars, described as 'music to cast spells to' for fans of The Cure and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Magick Ritual, a new heavy psych band formed of members of Birds Flying Backwards, Doublecream, Espuma and The Kobras, mixes mystical storytelling with fuzzed-out guitars and hypnotic grooves. Knuckle Draggers blend punk, goth and new wave, colliding Motörhead's grit with the synth sounds of The Garden and vocals reminiscent of Julian Casablancas.
