About
A live concert at a Brixton venue presenting three acts on one bill. Headlining is Hiding Places, a four-piece formed in the countryside of Athens, Georgia in 2020 whose roots trace back to a shared college radio station in North Carolina. Guitarists/vocalists Audrey Keelin and Nicholas Byrne, bassist Michael Matsakis and drummer Henry Cutting play a twinkly, raw folk-alternative rock blending earnest storytelling with intricate, guitar-driven textures, now based in Brooklyn's DIY scene. They are joined by lifepath99, the project of London-based, via Asheville, NC musician Bex Vines, whose pop hooks dissolve into walls of noise and ghostly electronic textures, and Bloodsports, a sometimes fragile, often abundant guitar band from New York City.
