About
Inner Torment Part II: Fear, Hatred, Envy and Greed is a two-day online course held over Zoom, with registrants also receiving access to a recording for three months. It is led by Professor Salman Akhtar, a psychoanalyst who trained in India, the USA and Philadelphia. Across four sessions of a 60-minute talk and 30-minute Q&A each, he examines fear, hatred, envy and greed as profoundly dysphoric internal experiences and their psychosocial consequences, drawing on clinical experience, literature and daily life. He was born in India, is Emeritus Professor at Jefferson Medical College, and has authored, edited or co-edited more than 118 books on psychiatry and psychoanalysis.
