Ivo Andrić, Schopenhauer & Nietzsche: Suffering and the Meaning of Life

About

A philosophy evening exploring the ideas of Ivo Andrić, Arthur Schopenhauer and Friedrich Nietzsche, three thinkers united by their insights into suffering, solitude and the meaning of life. It is hosted by Dr. Nash Jocic, founder of Philosophy Matters UK, and examines why suffering is central to human existence, Schopenhauer's pessimism and philosophy of the will, and Nietzsche's answer of life affirmation, self-overcoming and amor fati. Rather than a formal lecture, the evening is one of open discussion and intellectual exchange, with no previous knowledge of philosophy necessary.
