A talk in the Junior Geometry Seminar series at Imperial College London, open to all and with drop-in entry. Speaker Zhengyang Cui presents 'Blow-ups and Local Integrability', exploring when |y²-x³|⁻²ʷ is integrable near the origin in ℂ² and deriving a formula for the log canonical threshold of an arbitrary complex hypersurface. The talk is followed by an hour-long session, and snacks are provided before and after. The seminar is run by Inés Chung-Halpern, Naomi Rosenberg, Edward Young and Patrick Luo at the Huxley Building, Room 140, on the South Kensington Campus.
